Carbide stump grinder teeth and mulcher knives being sharpened

Contractor service · Western New York

Sharpening Services

We run the same machines you do, so we sharpen for other grinding and mulching outfits — carbide teeth, mulcher knives and cutter blades brought back to factory bite.

For most jobs we walk the property before quoting, so the price you get is the price you pay.

Why sharp steel pays

Dull teeth burn fuel, hammer your bearings and slow every cut. Keeping a sharpened set on the shelf means you swap in minutes instead of limping through a job — and your machine lasts longer for it.

How it works

Tell us what you're running and how many pieces. Drop off or arrange a hand-off, we sharpen and inspect, and flag anything that's past saving instead of charging you to sharpen scrap.

Set up a regular schedule

If you're grinding or mulching every week, we'll get you on a standing rotation so sharp sets are always ready when you need them. Volume pricing applies once we know your cadence.

FAQs

Common questions

What do you sharpen?

Stump grinder carbide teeth, forestry mulcher knives and tools, and cutter or brush blades. If you're not sure yours qualifies, send a photo with your request.

What's the turnaround?

We work on contractor timelines — tell us when you need them back and we'll confirm before you drop off. Standing-schedule customers get priority.

Do you sharpen for homeowners too?

Our sharpening is aimed at grinding and mulching contractors, but reach out with what you have and we'll tell you if it's something we handle.

How many pieces is a typical order?

Anything from a partial set to several full sets. Volume pricing kicks in on larger orders — note the quantity in your request.

Can teeth be sharpened more than once?

Yes, up to a point. Depending on the design, some teeth take several sharpenings, others need the carbide tip replaced rather than ground, and some are one-piece designs that have to be replaced outright. Once carbide is worn past a usable profile we'll tell you it's time for new tips or new teeth rather than take your money.

Do you replace tips as well as sharpen?

We look at every piece and tell you which path it needs — sharpen, re-tip, or replace. Brazed-carbide teeth can often get fresh tips for less than a full set, while worn or cracked bodies get flagged for replacement so you're not running compromised steel.

How do I get a price?

Pick Sharpening Services on the quote form and list the type, quantity and how often you need it. We'll come back with pricing — no property visit needed for sharpening.
